Geertje van Putte

Geertje van Putte graduated from the Avans hogeschool Breda, The Netherlands, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

She has completed courses in nutrition and chiropractic adjustments. She has experience in working with people who have disabilities, general rehabilitation but also has extensive knowledge about sports related injuries. As Geertje is super active in her daily sports life she gets a lot of fulfilment out of treating athletes to overcome their injuries. Aside from this she is also very interested in how to optimize one’s lifestyle and how to optimize oneself, think of sleep / nutrition or stress management.

Through a combination of manual techniques and exercise treatment she tries to reach individual goals of every client in the most efficient way. Geertje sees her role in your rehab as follows: I make sure that I coach you in a way that motivates you and update your treatment plan as needed to make sure that you overcome your injury in the shortest time possible! Her latest post graduate course Dry Needling Method organized by the Australian GeMT was an important and welcome addition to her skill set.

Besides being a physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Phnom Penh, Geertje is also a volleyball coach. Naturally this means that she loves playing volleyball herself as well and will spend many hours on the field!

My goal as a physiotherapist is to make people feel better, both physically and mentally. I want people to get to know their own body and understand the signals of it by teaching them in a fun and active way.
