Robbert van Hoven graduated from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2014 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
He has completed courses in Dry Needling, Medical Taping Concept, Natural Movement Treatments and Elbow-related injuries. His professional interests lie in treating sports-related injuries, tendon pathologies, and rehabilitation after trauma or orthopedic surgery (i.e. hip or knee replacements, rotator cuff reconstructions, etc.). Robbert is, besides a certified physiotherapist, also a Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor.
Obviously these specializations do have a broad impact on his approach towards his clients, where skilled hands on treatments are combined with goal oriented exercises to speed up physical recovery!
Robbert spent some time travelling through Australia after his studies and then went to work in a number of private clinics when he returned to the Netherlands. During this time, he found that a combination of hands-on and hands-off treatments, and working in partnership with other physiotherapists and professionals produced the best results for his patients.
Robbert knows that a physiotherapist can have a major influence in reducing the constraints and pain that a patient can experience during their recovery. He also understands the importance of motivating the patient to take responsibility for performing their exercises and treatments properly to reduce the time it takes to recover.
